I'm a graphic designer based in Vancouver, though you never really know where I’ll be next. I love to travel, make things, and find creative ways to add meaning to what I do.
(The story behind Día Mar)
TWO SEAS,
ONE NAME.
My full name is Diana Marie Zenarosa Guingona (my mom gets credit for that one). After living in Madrid, I picked up a bit of Spanish: día means day and mar means sea, and together they sound a little like Diana Marie. I’m Filipina, born in Vancouver, two seas across the globe that are both close to my heart. Día Mar carries a little of that story, and a little of me.I started Día Mar because I knew design was something I could do with real skill, and I wanted to use it to make a meaningful difference to a brand.
Design is something I’m always learning and improving on, and yeah, I probably spend a bit too much time getting the details right. I’m a perfectionist when it comes to design.
Still, my goal isn’t just to make things look pretty. I want design to be a visual representation: a way to communicate who a brand is and what it stands for. That’s why the details matter.
I bring a practical eye, a love of good type, and the belief that a strong brand should feel just as considered on a tiny social post as it does on a big campaign.
